Sunday 19th February 2012
So it was a Sunday here and we decided after spending half the day sleeping off Homegrown to go see a film in the evening. We managed to fit in dinner at a little sushi bar off Courtenay Place and then hit Reading Cinemas. It was a toss up between Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and The Vow. Completely opposite in genres, haha. My friend was up for a chick flick and even though I was leaning towards the other one we went and watched The Vow. I saw the trailer for this a little while ago and it was the first chick flick that had appealed to me in ages so I was up for checking it out too.
I thought it was a pretty good film. The fact it came from a true story was remarkable and although I wasn't a Channing Tatum fan and I haven't seen any movie with him in it till now, this one made me see how he can be rather appealing. Not keen on some of the man cardigans but still alright! The one bit in the movie that put me off was when he was dating the girl (love Rachel McAdams!) and bought her a box of very, very soppy romantic stuff. I do like romance but this was just TOO MUCH!!! haha.
I do love their wedding in the gallery and they cast those two very well!!! It's a very sweet story. :)
