Friday 24th February 2012
This evening we went to the Te Papa Museum to see the opening of the Arts Festival here in Wellington. It consisted of a projection of artwork and video on the Te Papa building itself alongside live music and performances. It told the story of New Zealand abstract and literal form. The first 15 minutes or so of the performance was quite repetitive but as it progressed it got more interesting, especially as the narrative was revealed. My favourite bit in particular was the live native performances.
After getting my cultural fix we headed into town for a few drinks with some friends! The usual Friday night kinda thing!
